The Crow, The Frog & The Well

Once upon a time there was a crow (in a forest of course). He used to leave his place (tree of course) in the morning in search of food and fun. He loved teasing the stray dogs because some dogs always disrupted his foods. He was a free and stud kind of crow so he used to roam through out the world. His daily work was to roam here and there to get some food and looking for some lady crows to ease his eyes and master brain (cleaver and wicked one!).
Time went on, he was a happy crow and dude of course so a lady crow felt in love with him and things went lovely for him. One day he was plying with some other crow kids and some monkeys jumping from one branch to the other branches of the tree. Suddenly a devastating earthquake came along with a huge tsunami and storm. He flew towards the tree where his mom dad lived, just to save them because they were old enough and couldn’t fly. He was late as the ugly storm takes over the trees. As he was a stud crow, he tried his level best to rescue his parents but finally failed. He got stuck in a tree branch when he was flying towards the sky through the shortest way and felt down. He got hit by the tree’s branch and its leaves and felt down. He saw the other crows, monkeys, and some other birds prisoned in between the branches of that heavy tree.
Well, he was a cleaver, dude and overconfident crow so he tried really very hard to come out just before the arrival of the tsunami that was about to wash his away. He finally came out but he was  late and had to pay the cost to fight against the natural disaster. He started flying high in the sky but he found no one was there. I mean the birds were not visible to him there. He flew higher and higher with his  half broken and bleeding feathers and placed his feet on the top of a mountain that was sitting away from his forest.
Time went on but he started feeling like hell without his family and girlfriend, of course. He used to cry washing away his sorrow with the tears trickling down his cheeks daily at night so that other birds couldn’t see him crying because he never cried. With the passage of time he had learnt to live without his family and girlfriend and got new feathers meanwhile.
[After few months!]
It was the month of mid June and he wanted to enjoy his new feathers and started flying high in the sky away form the mountain top crossing the nearby towns, cities, villages and fields. After few hours of his flight he started feeling thirsty as his throat was drying and forcing him to have some water. He looked downward and flew towards a lake. He became sad after getting the lake dry. Yes, he flew enough and reached in a dreary desert. He started roaming here and there looking for few drops of water. As he was a cool and confident crow he kept searching waters. Finally, he saw a well in the middle of the village on the outskirt of that desert. He flew down and sat on the boundary of the well to check whether there was water inside it or it was dry like the lake. The crow started dancing suddenly after hearing some voice of the frogs. Yes, the voice of the frogs that was coming out of the well was proving that the well was not dry.
After seeing a crow dancing and singing madly, some stud frogs came out to see  why the hell was the crow dancing and singing so loudly disrupting their peaceful atmosphere.
‘Hey, what happened to you?’ one of them asked the crow.
‘Nothing,’ the crow answered stopping his feet.
‘Then why are you dancing like mad?’ the head lady frog asked.
‘Actually……..,’ the crow started.
‘Fu*k off, you assh*le,’ one of the stud frogs shouted pointing his eyes towards the crow.
‘Shut up,’ the cute head lady frog said to the stud frog.
‘So, you were looking for nothing and started singing and dancing madly here, right?’ the sweet and sensible head lady frog said to the crow, who was looking here and there recklessly.
‘Actually, I was looking for water and I roamed a lot to get it and finally got it here so…,’ the crow answered.
‘Hmmm,’ the frogs uttered nodding their heads.
‘Okay, enjoy the water,’ the head lady frog said.
The crow started flying inside the well to have much awaited water but he failed as the well seemed deep enough to him. He tried twice but got hit by one of the walls of the well and started falling down but he tried hard and flew out of the well. The frogs started laughing at him.
‘Hey, may I help you?’ one old frog asked the crow.
‘No, thanks, you are old enough. I’ll get it by own,’ the crow answered setting his feathers tight to fly into the well again. He tried and failed for the third time too.
‘Hey, may I help you please?’ the head lady frog asked, who got impressed by his attempts and confidence. The crow started thinking for some time and answered ‘yes’. The head lady frog went into the well and brought a bucket full of water along with some food items. The hungry and thirsty crow finished water and food within few minutes. After finishing everything they both started chitchatting for some time and the other frogs had already left for the well. As the head lady frog was already impressed by the crow and the crow on the other hand was alone in this world and got a good friend. I mean they became good friends.
They started meeting everyday and chitchatting time got increased. She was happy with the new friend and their friendship got concrete with the passage of time. The crow started visit the well daily and the head lady frog had started gaining attention of the eyes of the rest of the frogs. The old frogs started raising their eyebrows whenever they saw them together sitting at the boundary of the well. As her friendship was not acceptable in her community so she was removed from the head lady position by the rest frogs.
The crow started asking her to roam  with him as the well seemed boring place to meet daily. After million of requests the lady frog said ‘yes’. But the problem was that she didn’t have feathers so she couldn’t fly like the crow.

I P University & It’s Loopholes (may be not!)

Well the result has been decleared and most of us are all clear as this semester was not very tough. As always, it started with the flashing of datesheet on the IPU official website and students started studying like mads because no one wants to give any chance to get a back and sit sad in the darkness.
All of us were eligible so we got a seat each in this university. No one is bad student (in my opinion!). After announcement of the date sheet, the days pass very fast and papers come at hand. The exams start and most us attempt 75 marks’ questions out of 75 marks. Only few leave some questions who struggle with their pace of writing.
After writing exams, we get few holidays and new semester starts with the new weather, new season and of course new atmosphere. Nayi Sarak market gets filled with the books and students start rushing there to get all new books. Few guys and girls try to fall in new relationships during this time because there is not any extra pressure of exams.
After three months from this time the results on non technical departments start getting put on the IPU website. The heartbeats of the technical and non-technical students start pacing up and their brains start entering into an unstable state. After some hoax news of result out and tremendous stress counting days (where each day seems really very hard to pass!), the result of the various engineering departments start coming on the official website of our university. Students (web wizards, better call!), who always keep checking sites start texting and calling their college and non college mates to check their result as soon as result is decleared. Facebook accounts get filled with the status updates like ‘ I’m all clear, thank god, I got 80% or so, Thanks to Sai Baba who helped in clearing all the papers’ etc etc. Few people update their status like ‘I worked really very hard but got 1 back or so’.
Delhi fills with joy and cheerfulness with the opening of the hundred of beer (& wine) bottles along with the soft drinks’ bottles. Because guys like me are okay with the cold drinks and ice creams. Number of attendance start increasing in the city malls to celebrate all clear parties. Few love to enjoy shopping with their parents, as if they would have promised to buy jeans, t-shirts, foot wears and more dresses (I don’t know much about girls’ dresses, so..!) if their kids get no backs in their result. Some propose to their opposite sexes people to be their girlfriends / boyfriends after getting good marks. Old couples start dating everyday to renew their love. How can I forget to mention my story here. I start waiting for Tanya standing outside her college for roaming and eating with her at our favorite outlets in South Delhi. Few unlucky people start drinking wines and puffing cigarette puffing and freeing the news of getting backs with the smoke of the cigarettes out in the air. Unfortunately I’ve quit smoking.
Pawan is a stud guy of my group. I can’t dare to call him a ‘nerd’ because guys in my group love to be called studs only. Like other engineering nerds they hide the number of hours they give on their study tables but never fail to share the stuff like – which is the best porn site and who has the best cleavage in the college and outside. Anyways, he works really very hard focusing on each and every word coming out of the lecturers’ mouth in the class. He goes for tutions also to get the left uncleared problems cleared. Tutors teach really well as they take handsome amount to clear all the doubts. Despite depositing around 70,000 bucks’ cheque as one year fee to their colleges of IP University every year, students love to spend more on the subjects so that they won’t get any back paper in any semester. Well, Pawan is a rich guy and he can pay for any number of tutions.
Let me come to the point. Students don’t leave any stone unturned to get good marks in the exams. Despite writing exams nicely attempting all the questions, they live in a fearful and trauma state of getting back (by mistake!) in any subject.
Yes, this fear comes in their mind from IP University’s marking system. ‘The checkers check our answer sheets as if they have old enimosity with us,’ people say it, generally. Maximum students (good, average, better) get 35 to 50 marks out of 75 marks in the external exams. Thanks to the colleges that give 20+ marks out 25 to all of their students in the internals. After getting 20+ marks in the internals there is least chance of getting any back. Unfortunately, few people get backs even if they score 25 out of 25 marks in the internals.
After getting backs the rechecking forms including 230 bucks as rechecking forms’ fee start getting deposited in the respective colleges. ‘The rechecking forms are useless.’ Most of us say it. Only few out of  hunderds get their marks altered. I’ve been studying in this university for the last three years and I never understood the marking system in its exams. I always get surprised and shocked when nerds like Pawan get a back in any paper. I never understood the rechecking form system (including 230 bucks as rechecking forms’ fee!) of IP University where only few out of hundreds get their marks increased (or decreased!). My classmates always say that ‘in rechecking no one gets his/her marks increased so it’s useless’. Not even a single students of our university say good about it’s rechecking system.
I want to ask the respected and reputed IP University [ Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi] exam system that :
1. Are we such bad students who can’t score 30 to 35 marks out of 75 marks in the externals?
2. Are the rechecking forms really useless?
3. Is our marking system so real and true that left students with back paper to study the same subject and get it cleared or get the back again by the next year?
Well, there are million of questions start coming in the mind when you get any back after working hard really very hard and honestly. IPU conducts it’s entrance test and students are selected on the basis of their talents except few like Tanya (my sweetheart friend!) who get a seat by paying lacs, what is called a management seat here.
The disadvantages of getting backs are countless. Its affects range from training, internship and placement in good companies to suicide (that means end of one’s life just for not getting a engineering degree!). Students start doubting their talents too.
But I love the way time is going on in this university that is full of surprises and shocks, I don’t know why. :-)
Life becomes no lesser than hell when you start taking everything very serious and there is lack of surprises. Let the time play it’s role. Enjoy each day of your college life because it’s not going to come again in this life. Guys and girls who are still single, fall in love with their respective ‘opposite sex’. Love is the most wonderful thing in this world....

Cough....High Fever....Syrup (not wine!) & The Result !

Well, I'm unwell these days. Extra dose of coke, pepsi and any known cold drink on this earth is about to kill me. I'm unable to jog, walk, sleep and of course study. Sometimes, the degree of my unwellness fires happiness into my head, only for the reason I can stay away from the course books for some time. Thanks to my antibody that doesn't let me fall ill.
Let me come to the point. Despite being so unwell I woke up very early in the morning to start, finish and revise the course of microprocessor to write my second term paper with a fear in my mind of getting my attendance short that always debarred me from writing the papers. Unlike my stud friends I get the time only in the morning of the paper day so I had to do it.
Thanks to my college management that allowed me to enter the exam hall. I wrote the paper and ran straight to Pitampura metro station. How can I skip any meet with Tanya (on weekdays only). Yes, she was waiting there at Pitampura metro station. After roaming for some time I returned to my place. I went to my sis's place to have lunch with a scaring mood as she always shouts at me showing sharp expressions just for disrupting her noon sleep.
I'm unwell, as I mentioned earlier and I love to have medicines especially syrup. According to doctor's suggestions I'd to have two spoons in morning and evening. I had two more full spoons of syrup increasing the dose twice thinking that I would be well as soon as possible if I'm having more dose of medicine. I try this stuff whenever I get unwell! I went into bed texting some messages to Tanya.
'Stud, result aa gya....,' the voice reached my ears and I opened my eyes.
'What the hell is this? Is it a dream,' I said to myself checking whether it was really a dream.
'We both are all clear and Tanya Bhabhi has topped with a whopping score of 84%,' the voice continued and forced me to run towards washroom to wash my face. As always Gyan had called me to give such bad news (good news for the first time!).
'Dude, check my result once again. Am I really all clear?' I asked opening my eyes clearly.
'Yeah, you are all clear and you have scored good marks this time,' he said.
'Fu*k the good marks, dude, come to my place. It's a party time, bye,' I said disconnecting the call.
'What the hell is this?' I asked myself looking towards the phone screen that contained 15 new messages with a yellow envelope picture on the screen. I started dialing Tanya's number leaving all the messages unread in the inbox.
'Hey, hi, congrats,' I said as she picked my call.
'I'm not talking to you,' she said.
'Why, what happened?' I asked.
'You got 84% and I'm all clear,' I contined.
'So what? I'm messaging you for the last half an hour and you are sleeping,' she continued entering in her real mood.
'Oh, I'm really very sorry, sweetheart,' I started.
'You've slept for 3 hours, you know,' she said. I checked the time and it was 5:45pm in my phone clock.
'But the result,' I uttered.
'What result...it was expected,' she said.
'And yeah, you're all clear. This was unexpected,' she added........

[Our conversation continued for the next forty minutes discussing the stuff we did during our examinations' days (including the dates even on the examination days!)....well, the days (four months ago) are better described in the blog books..GF..kisses & papers.]
